iPlato is a 2 way communication service between you the patient and us your GP surgery. This messaging service is primarily used for reminders about your appointments with the option to cancel them if you can no longer make it.
- When you receive your reminder message which will be approximately 2 hours before your appointment, please follow the specific instructions to cancel your appointments should you need too.
- Following your appointment you will be given the option to participate in our family and friends survey. Once again please follow the specific instructions to participate.
Note: All text costs associated with the reminders and surveys you receive will be covered by us providing you are responding to messages received from us using this service.
- Don’t send urgent queries or requests via this service such as: prescription requests/queries and emergency appointment requests/queries. To do such things please call the surgery you attend directly so that a member of staff can assist you.
- Don’t send queries seeking medical advice from a GP regarding a problem you are experiencing as this service is not monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please contact the surgery you attend directly so that a member of staff can assist you.
